Brewlab welcomes new student cohort for the 2025 academic year

Our committee has welcomed a new intake of student volunteers from across Monash University. The 2025 cohort spans engineering, science, design and business, and will work alongside our experienced volunteers across all five education programs.

Updated Child Safety & Working with Young People policy adopted

Following our standard governance review, the committee has adopted an updated Child Safety and Working with Young People policy. The updated policy reaffirms that participants under 18 work only with non-alcoholic fermentation projects and outlines clearer reporting pathways for any safeguarding concern.

2024Education milestone

First full-cycle nano-brewing training delivered to volunteer team

Across the year, our volunteer team completed a full-cycle training pathway covering fermentation science, equipment operation, sensory analysis and quality control. Each volunteer is now able to safely lead supervised practical sessions for new participants.

2024Community

Industry mentors join Brewlab program

Several professionals from Australia's craft beverage, food technology and engineering sectors have agreed to act as volunteer mentors to our student members. Mentoring sessions are run in line with our adult-to-young-person ratios and supervision policies.

2023Founding

Brewlab Holdings Incorporated officially established

On 24 October 2023, Brewlab Holdings Incorporated was officially registered as an incorporated association in Victoria and subsequently endorsed as a charity by the ACNC, with the purpose of advancing the education of young Australians aged 15 to under 25.
